rule of thirds black and white
This picture unedited was not my favorite picture, but once i adjusted the contrast and lighting it became a stronger image.I was able to capture this interesting directional curved line, by getting slightly above eye level with the logs.Making morgan my off centered focal point. What makes this photo strong is the amount of detail and interesting lines.

I think this picture portrays leading lines very strongly. the angle you shot the picture at and the way the stumps are placed from big to small allows your eyes to follow in and out of the picture. also, within the stumps there are lots of little rigid lines.
ReplyDeleteYesss! I helped you choose this image. Hehe!
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree with Christine, the leading lines are phenomenal! I'm also just in love with this photo due to the editing - loooove it. The shadows in this are beautiful.
I think you did a great job with the contrast and lighting. It definitely gives emphasis to the texture of the stumps. I notice some asymmetrical balance with how the left side is darker than the right side. Then, of course, there's the superb use of leading lines with the stumps. Good work!
ReplyDeleteYes, the blacks in this image are really dark and they make me appreciate how beautiful the tree stumps are. I also think the blurred person on the right adds an element of curiousity too.
